How does WordPlus translate words?
WordPlus uses GPT and Gemini to translate words and phrases across 50+ languages. But it goes beyond simple translation — for every word, you get synonyms, antonyms, multiple meanings, real-world usage examples, and alternative translations. Every translation is automatically saved as a flashcard.
How do flashcards get created automatically?
Every time you translate a word, WordPlus creates a flashcard with the original word, translation, transcription, and context. Cards are saved to your Translator Set automatically. You can also create custom sets and cards manually, or use AI to generate entire sets from a topic description.
How does spaced repetition work in WordPlus?
WordPlus uses the Leitner System — a scientifically proven method with 5 jars. New words start in Jar 1 (reviewed daily). Each correct answer moves the word to the next jar with longer intervals (2 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month). Wrong answers send words back to Jar 1. This means you spend time only on words you're about to forget.
What study methods are available?
WordPlus offers multiple ways to learn: Flashcards for visual recall with self-assessment, Player for passive listening like a podcast, and Memorization — an intensive mode that cycles through Writing (type the answer), Matching (pick from options), and Audio Test (listen and type). Memorization keeps going until you've mastered every word.
